Job summary

Staples Canada in Prince Albert, SK is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver exceptional service and drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies. You will help maintain store standards and assist with planograms, signage, and merchandising, contributing to a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

You will handle POS transactions, support merchandising efforts, and work with store leaders to meet sales and margin goals, while upholding Health & Safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
