Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Sales Associate to drive growth in the territory. You will travel to customer facilities, present products, and help secure ongoing business.

You will build relationships, collaborate with inside staff, and report field activities for planning. A high school diploma and up to 2 years in Asian food sales are expected, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 0-2 years of sales experience in the Asian food industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office skills.
• Holding a Class 5 Driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers and potential customer’s facilities providing information and support to secure and maintain business.
• Establish, maintain, and develop business relationships with customers in the assigned territory to maximize profitability.
• Sell Wismettac products to all customers in the territory.
• Cooperate with accounting to assure collection of accounts receivable.
• Evaluate territory performance against objectives and take action to improve performance.
• Grow business by anticipating customer needs and providing solutions and high level customer service.
• Coordinate with inside sales personnel to achieve territory sales goals.
• Provide timely reporting of activities in the field for planning.

Job description

Under the general supervision, the sales associate is the principal selling agent for the company and is responsible to achieve the short-and long range sales objectives. Objectives will be achieved by maintaining existing customers in the assigned territory. As a sales associate, candidates must have a high level of flexibility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Travel to customers and potential customer’s facilities providing them with information and support as required to secure and maintain business.
• Establish, maintain, and develop business, social and civic relationships with customers in the assigned territory to the objectives of maximum profitability.
• Responsible for selling Wismettac products to all customers in the assigned territory.
• Cooperate with accounting department to assure the collection of account receivable due.
• Evaluate territory performance against established objectives/ guidelines (sale forecast, budget, number of new accounts, gross margin, etc.) and take appropriate action to improve performance.
• Grow business by anticipating customer needs, determining appropriate solutions to business problems, and providing an overall high level of customer service.
• Cooperate with assigned inside customer service personnel, sales assistant and/or office clerks to achieve territory sales goals.
• Provide timely reporting of activities in the field to assist in business and product planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma and /or 0-2 years of sales experience in the Asian food industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office program as well as other general office skills.
• Holding a Class 5 Driver’s license with clean record.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Special Requirement:

• Bilingual in Korean and English is preferred.
• Bilingual in Japanese and English is preferred.
