Job summary

Staples Inc. in Prince George, BC, is looking for a retail associate to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies at 1600 15th Avenue, Unit #206, Prince George, BC, V2L3X3, CA. You will support store standards, assist customers, and operate the POS system to complete transactions.

Prior retail experience and strong teamwork skills are preferred, with opportunities for learning and development within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.

• Drive sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas of the store.
• Set and achieve sales and margin goals with store leaders.
• Ensure operational excellence and uphold store brand standards.
• Support all merchandising and signage standards including planograms and stocking.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Asset Protection, and Privacy Policies.

Specifically, you will
