The Sales and Marketing Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for driving sales in the community.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage Lifetimes Living’s consultative sales process “HOME Selling” to help seniors and adult children make informed decisions when choosing a retirement residence.
  2. Drive occupancy levels and meet or exceed established sales targets.
  3. Manage telephone inquiries and convert them to personal visit bookings.
  4. Demonstrate within the team a relaxed manner and a skill in ‘going with the flow’ emphasizing people’s individual needs and not tasks and routines while ensuring work requirements are met.
  5. Conduct personal visits, follow up on leads, and close sales through lease signings.
  6. Track sales activity in our Customer Relationship System (CRS) database and analyze reports to identify sales trends specific to the community and residence.
  7. Inspire others to be motivated and work with a passion, and empower staff.
  8. Drive referrals and traffic.
  9. Create, retain, and grow a portfolio of strategic networking partnerships with the local healthcare community and within the community at large: build a qualified lead database.
  10. Maintain open communication at all levels.
  11. Present a positive approach, not controlling language and actions towards people.
  12. Develop, promote, and implement marketing plans and social events.
  13. Monitor expenditures of funds allocated to the marketing budget.
  14. Any and all other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

The qualifications needed to join our family are as follows:

  1. Graduate of a post-secondary sales and marketing program or related programs.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of/empathy for the needs of seniors.
  3. Experience in developing and implementing sales and/or marketing plans, public and community relations campaigns, and special events.
  4. Experience in event planning.
  5. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  6. Knowledge of the surrounding area and communities.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Valid provincial driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  9. Familiar with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  10. 3 – 5 years experience in Sales.
  11. Experience in the senior housing or hospitality industries would be ideal but is not mandatory.
  12. Ability to embrace various skills from the team to maximize the potential to enhance the well-being of all individuals.
  13. Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months TB results less than 6 months, evidence of flu shot, must be able to provide three work references.
