Job summary

The John Gore Organization is seeking a Sales & Marketing Assistant to support revenue-generating campaigns for Broadway Across Canada. Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365; CRM or ticketing system experience an asset.
  • Interest in the performing arts and cultural sector.

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Partnership Support: research prospective partners, sponsors, and collaborators; update prospect lists; assist with pitch materials and reports; track outreach and activity; support group reservations.
  • Financial & Administrative Support: process accounts payable; assist with budgets and financial reporting; maintain filing systems for contracts and invoices.
  • Media Monitoring & Reporting: monitor media coverage and press mentions; organize press files; track promotions and post-campaign reporting.
  • Marketing Support: create organic social posts; assist with artwork for social and emails; support grassroots promotions; help execute campaigns.
  • General Coordination: schedule meetings, prepare notes, coordinate with Marketing, Finance, and Operations; provide admin support for revenue-generating activities.

Summary

The Sales & Marketing Assistant supports the development and execution of revenue-generating sales and marketing initiatives that drive audience growth, ticket revenue, and brand visibility for Broadway Across Canada. This role provides research, reporting, financial, and administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team, ensuring efficient campaign execution, accurate tracking of sales activity, and alignment across departments.

Duties And Responsibilities
Sales & Partnership Support
  • Conduct research to identify prospective partners, sponsors, and collaborators aligned with the organization’s business objectives
  • Maintain and update prospect lists, contact databases, and sales tracking documents
  • Assist with the preparation of pitch materials, proposals, presentations, and reports
  • Support relationship management by tracking outreach, follow-ups, and business activity
  • Support the Group Sales department with booking and assistant group client reservations
Financial & Administrative Support
  • Process accounts payable, including invoice tracking, coding, and submission in accordance with internal procedures
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and financial reporting related to sales and partnerships
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for contracts, invoices, and agreements
Media Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor media coverage, press mentions, influencer coverage and industry news related to the organization and its partners
  • Maintain organized digital files for press coverage
  • Track promotional activity and support post-campaign reporting
Marketing Support
  • Assist with creation of organic social media posts for various social channels
  • Assist with artwork preparation for social, eblasts and other correspondence
  • Assist with grassroots promotions for various shows
  • Support the planning, proofing and execution of email, digital, social media and grassroots marketing campaigns
General Coordination
  • Support scheduling, meeting preparation, and note-taking for the Sales and Partnerships team.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Provide general administrative support as required to support revenue-generating activities.
