Description

As a Business Development Analyst on the Investments, Canada team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our Investment business, partnering with large, sophisticated institutional investors such as pension funds, endowments, and foundations across Canada. You will join a team of experienced investment professionals who prioritize our clients' needs. This dynamic role offers opportunities to work through all stages of new business pursuits, including RFP responses, finalist presentations, marketing materials, database management, competitor analysis, as well as CRM and pipeline management.

The Role
  • Manage the RFP proposal process, including drafting via proposal software, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Update and maintain the CRM system with business development activities, ensuring accurate client information and activity records, including meeting notes, call logs, AUM, and client categorizations.
  • Organize and maintain business development shared websites with a clear folder structure, accurate metadata, and effective document tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update presentation slides and proposal response libraries.
  • Develop initial drafts of client presentation decks tailored to client needs and company standards.
  • Track and collect necessary documents from clients and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and validate reports for data accuracy and completeness to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with 1-3 years of experience
  • Progress towards CFA desirable
  • Interest in financial markets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work independently, managing time and projects effectively
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under deadlines
