Job description

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for providing support and expertise in environment, health, and safety matters at the Coca-Cola Brampton facility and operations. This role involves fostering a positive EHS culture, developing programs and best practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, site-specific and corporate requirements, and maintaining conformance with Coca-Cola Kore / ISO 14001 / 45001 certifications. The ideal candidate is comfortable on the shop floor, engaging with large groups, and performing detailed administrative tasks on the computer.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop, coordinate, and conduct training activities, including weekly new employee EHS orientations.
  2. Coordinate and administer safety and incident investigation review committee (IRC / SIRC) meetings and reporting.
  3. Perform audits and inspections to monitor compliance.
  4. Provide subject matter expertise to department managers and supervisors to identify EHS gaps and improvement opportunities, supporting the development and implementation of corrective actions.
  5. Accurately prepare reports on EHS performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly), including leading and lagging indicators.
  6. Support the development and implementation of EHS programs.
  7. Maintain and update EHS bulletin boards, SDS binders, Source Intelligence, spill kits, hazard report boxes, and first aid supplies.
  8. Review and update documents, communications, and forms.
  9. Participate in local management and corporate QHSE activities.
Qualifications
  1. 2-3 years of EHS experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  2. Experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 certification processes and audits.
  3. Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local workplace health and safety regulations.
  4. Ability to influence managers, supervisors, and employees.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online tools.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
  7. Strong collaboration skills for working on initiatives and projects.
  8. Ability to facilitate meetings, training sessions, and workshops effectively.
  9. Physical ability to access industrial work areas, including bending, ladder use, stairs, and extensive walking.
  10. BSc degree in sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, or Environment.
