Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a hospitality Runner at Spruce Meadows in Calgary to deliver elevated service in premium seating areas, restaurants, concessions, clubs & suites. This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 CAD and is tip eligible.

Pension matching is offered for part-time roles. Availability evenings, weekends and holidays as per event schedule is preferred.

Qualifications

• ProServe Certification is mandatory.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume service environments is preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays per event schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, accurate, and professional service to guests in premium seating areas.
• Ensure all food and beverage items are neatly presented and delivered with care.
• Monitor assigned sections and maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment.
• Stock and replenish stations (ice, cups, mixers, napkins, etc.) as needed.
• Communicate effectively with servers, supervisors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Support event setup, service, and teardown across premium spaces.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
• Ensure all alcohol service complies with Smart Serve and venue standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Possess full knowledge of menu items and accompaniments.

Position Summary

As a hospitality Runner you’ll play a key role in delivering elevated service to our premium guests in Restaurants, Concessions, Clubs & Suites. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team from day one.

About The Venue

Spruce Meadows is South Calgary's leading Sports and Entertainment District, located on the border of Southwest Calgary. Regarded as one of the top show jumping venues on the planet, a stunning 500‑acre property also hosts a wide range of events, including tournaments, concerts, festivals, and world‑famous markets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Possess full knowledge of menu items and accompaniments.
• Ensure all areas have appropriate serving ware and are cleaned post‑event.
• Maintain operable and sanitized equipment in assigned areas.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up and/or deliver products as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications

• Valid ProServe Certification (mandatory).
• Exceptional communication skills and a guest‑first attitude.
• Previous experience in fast‑paced, high‑volume service environments preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in stadium or live event food & beverage service is an asset.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedule.
• Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment.
• Valid driver's license required to operate company vehicles.
