Job summary

Riverstone Retirement Communities seeks a qualified nurse to support the Director of Care in overseeing resident care quality within a senior living setting. You will coordinate care plans, perform assessments, and ensure timely medication administration and documentation.

The role requires interaction with residents, families and healthcare staff, and a capacity to lead and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Certification and ongoing nursing competence are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience, preferably in a geriatric setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Supervisory skills, emergency management and added nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Care in planning, development and evaluation of resident care quality.
• Delivered and received reports at shift start and end.
• Participate in development and review of care plans for residents.
• Perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments of residents.
• Administer and/or supervise medications as ordered by physicians.
• Assist residents with personal care as required.
• Document unusual symptoms and observations.
• Liaise with physicians, families and other healthcare personnel as required.
