Job summary

Qualicare Homecare in Mississauga is seeking Licensed Practical/Registered Practical Nurses to deliver direct patient care under a supervising RN, following the care plan and ensuring positive client outcomes.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, ongoing assessments, and administering medications within the provincial scope of practice, all while maintaining infection control and compassionate service to clients and families.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence and good standing in Ontario.
• CPR certification is required.
• Strong clinical skills with patient care focus.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the required timeframe.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation.
• Conducts ongoing assessments of clients.
• Prepares, administers and documents medications as appropriate.
• Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures per provincial scope of practice.
