Job summary

National Diabetes Trust is seeking a Donations Pickup Driver to operate a 16-foot straight truck on a 40-hour work week, collecting donated clothing and household items from customers and donation bins for our charity partnerships across Canada.

You will perform required vehicle inspections, log Hours-of-Service, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure smooth routes and timely deliveries. A signing bonus of $1500 is offered along with a strong benefits package after a short waiting period.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read maps.
• Ability to drive a 3-Ton (16 foot) straight truck.
• Must have Full Class 5 and / or G license or higher.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes to collect donated clothing and household items.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Complete and submit daily paperwork.
• Log Hours-of-Service documentation daily.
• Check in with dispatch at start, midday, and end of route.
• Unload merchandise and return equipment to the office daily.
