Job summary

National Diabetes Trust in Canada seeks a part-time Donations Pickup Driver to collect donated clothing from customers' homes and charity bins, delivering to partners and storage facilities. You will drive established routes up to 29 hours per week and participate in safety and paperwork.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll promote the mission, inspect vehicles, complete daily logs, and ensure compliant, courteous service while representing the organization in communities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
• Must have Full Class 5 or G license or higher.
• Minimum of 5 years driving experience at the above level; 2 years with professional training.
• Clean driver abstract within last 21 days; no major violations or accidents in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes to collect donated clothing and household items.
• Deliver items to corporate partners and storage facilities.
• Complete daily paperwork and Hours-of-Service logs.
• Conduct pre/post trip vehicle inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide courteous service and log route discrepancies with dispatch.
