Job summary

National Diabetes Trust is seeking a Charitable Donations Pickup Driver to operate up to 29 hours per week, collecting donated clothing and household items from customers and donation bins, and delivering them to partners and storage facilities. You will report to the Operations Manager and follow safety, paperwork, and routing procedures.

The role requires a valid Class 5/G license, clean driving record, and ability to read maps and plan efficient routes.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
• Must have Full Class 5/G license or higher.
• Minimum 5 years driving experience at the required level; 2 years with professional training.
• Clean driver abstract within last 21 days.

Responsibilities

• Drive up to 29 hours per week on established routes to collect donated items.
• Conduct pre/post trip inspections and complete daily paperwork.
• Log Hours-of-Service, communicate with dispatch, and maintain route logs.
• Ensure only authorized personnel ride in the truck and adhere to safety regulations.
