Job summary

UniFirst Canada is seeking a Route Trainee to join and grow within our field service team in Canada. You’ll train through a hands-on program while supporting daily operations and preparing to advance to a full-time Route Service Representative role.

You’ll assist with deliveries, service, and route coverage with a focus on safety, customer relationships, and efficient, reliable service during weekday daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or CAEC required.
• Ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve operations.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program.
• Support daily operations by loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items to customers.
• Provide route coverage when needed during absences.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes.
• Work across indoor and outdoor environments with safety as a priority.
• Contribute to service department success through customer relationships.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
