Job summary

Denison is seeking an Environmental Manager for the Wheeler River Operation in Northern Saskatchewan. The role leads a team of environmental technicians to meet monitoring and compliance obligations per permits and licences, interfacing with on-site teams and the Saskatoon environment and regulatory group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive environmental experience in the mining industry.
• Experience as Environmental Manager or Environmental Superintendent for at least 3 years.
• Experience with remote, fly-in/fly-out mine sites and permit requirements in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and site environmental monitoring and compliance.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and risk management with regulators and auditors.
• Provide technical oversight of environmental monitoring programs.
• Ensure timely reporting of monitoring results in the environmental database.
• Support environmental program planning, budgets, and contractor scope.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure compliance.
