Denison Mines Corp. seeks a Contract Geotechnician to support exploration teams with field surveys, core logging, and data collection for uranium exploration programs in the Athabasca Basin.

The role involves a 2-week on/2-week off field rotation, with work at a remote camp and regular duties from Denison’s Saskatoon office on weekdays. Responsibilities include field surveys, geotechnical core logging, sampling, downhole logging, instrument operation, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in remote fieldwork, exploration, or mining is an asset.
• Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset but not required.
• Previous geotechnical core logging experience is an asset; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and willingness to operate vehicles in remote areas; side-by-sides and snowmobiles are an asset.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, hours up to 11 per day in the field, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear PPE, including CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and support uranium exploration programs under the direction of the Project Geologist and other team members.
• Assist with geotechnical core logging and investigations, including collecting rock, soil, water, and mineral samples.
• Carry out downhole drill hole logging activities as required.
• Operate geophysical and geotechnical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage.
• Operate and maintain motorized equipment and vehicles for which appropriate training has been completed.
• Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures, and promptly report hazards, unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
