Job summary

Roofmart in Canada’s national distribution network is seeking enthusiastic warehouse staff to safely load bundles of shingles and related products, and to assist with shipping and receiving. You will work closely with drivers to ensure safe deliveries, maintain a clean, organized store and yard, and follow all health and safety rules.

Experience in warehouse work and the ability to lift 80-100 lbs repeatedly are assets.

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to lift 80-100 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong customer service skills and teamwork.
• Fall protection/height training is an asset (provided).
• Forklift experience or license is an asset (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Load bundles of shingles and related products onto rooftops.
• Coordinate with driver to ensure safe, efficient deliveries.
• Handle materials manually and with equipment as required.
• Perform warehouse duties such as moving inventory, shipping and receiving when not on deliveries.
• Maintain clean and organized store and yard.
• Follow all health, safety rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
• Working closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
• Handling material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment
• Required to perform warehouse duties such as moving inventory, shipping, and receiving, when not on deliveries
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training - an asset (can be provided)
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience - Preferred
• Previous experience as a General Laborer/Laborer - an asset
• Previous experience as Warehouse Associate, Construction Helper, Manual Laborer would be beneficial
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada
