Job summary

Roofmart is seeking a Rooftop loader/shipper and receiver to join its team. The role involves loading shingles and related products onto roofs, coordinating with the driver to ensure safe and efficient deliveries, and handling materials with proper equipment.

Ideal candidates will have physical strength, forklift experience, and a customer-service mindset. Valid Canada work authorization is required; fall protection and forklift training may be provided as assets.

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina to perform heavy lifting.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training is an asset (can be provided).
• Valid Forklift License is an asset (training can be provided).
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset.
• Authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products.
• Work closely with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product.
• Handle material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment.
• Safely loading, unloading, moving, shipping and receiving product and inventory.
• Ensuring orders are picked correctly, tagged and double checked.
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard.
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation.
• Other duties as required.
