Job summary

Roofmart is seeking an Inside Sales / Shipper and Receiver in Kingston, Ontario. You’ll be the customer’s first contact in-store or by phone, handle sales transactions, and prepare shipments.

You will lift up to 80 lbs, operate a lift truck, keep the warehouse organized, and provide excellent service while supporting daily branch operations.

Qualifications

• College diploma and/or 3+ years in warehouse and forklift experience.
• 3+ years in retail, business, accounting, or sales.
• Valid forklift license is an asset (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers in-store or by phone.
• Process sales, perform daily banking reconciliation, and handle purchasing.
• Pick, prepare, and load products onto company or customer trucks.
• Unload deliveries and store products safely and accurately.
• Move and store products safely; operate a forklift; lift up to 80 lbs.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and deliver strong customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• The customer’s first point of contact when shopping in-store or calling the branch
• Completing sales transactions, daily banking reconciliation reports, and purchasing
• Required to pick, prepare and load purchased product on to the Company truck or load the customer’s truck
• Required to offload and put away product that is delivered to the branch
• Responsible for the safe and efficient movement and storage of the product while at the facility
• Lifting 80lbs and operate a lift truck.
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized
• Demonstrating excellent customer service and strong communication skills as you interact directly with customers

Qualifications

• College diploma and/or 3 or more years of Warehouse and Forklift Experience
• 3 or more years of successful retail, business, accounting, or sales experience
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada

Salary range: $20 - $23 per hour **this is a replacement***
