Our client is a large global steel manufacturing company looking for a Regional Sales Manager, in charge of managing their own territory and bringing in new business. The right candidate must be bilingual in both French and English and have the flexibility to travel to the US for sales meetings once or twice per year. Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager/Outside Sales Representative must have an understanding of CAD drawings, stay up to date with any construction projects, have handled steel products previously, and have an active Driver's license.
The position directly reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for implementing new processes, meeting sales targets, and ensuring the company's profitability.
This position is an on-site position for the first few months of training; however, the Regional Sales Manager will spend 80% of the time on the road, visiting customers, attending customer dinners sometimes, and attending trade shows. The shift times for this role are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with required flexibility to stay overtime depending on the client's needs.
Travel requirements include 3-4 days of overnight travel and, at times, a full week's travel. Lots of feet on the street required.
Travel includes the United States and Quebec; bilingual proficiency is required.
The client we represent is looking to grow opportunities in the South of Quebec, meaning south of Montreal Island, and this person will be generating their own leads and growing the sales opportunities for this territory.
