Job summary

The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Roads Serviceperson I to perform construction and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, boulevards, and pathways. The role includes operating and servicing various construction equipment and vehicles under the supervision of a road maintenance team.

Qualifications include Grade 12, 6 months concrete experience, a traffic control ticket, and a Class 3 BC Licence with Air Endorsement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and 6 months experience applying concrete construction/finishing.
• Valid traffic control ticket required.
• Possession of Class 3 BC Driver's Licence with Air Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain roads, sidewalks, boulevards, and related infrastructure.
• Operate and service a range of mobile construction equipment and vehicles.
• Support road infrastructure projects as directed by a supervisor.
