Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health System in Hamilton is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Birthing Area (Labour and Delivery) team. The role involves delivering patient-centered care in the Women’s and Infants’ Program at Charlton Campus, with potential cross-training across areas.

The RN provides leadership within the inter-professional team, supports evidence-based practice, and cares for patients with varied acuity. Must maintain Ontario RN registration and complete any required certifications.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• Current clinical experience related to the Women’s and Infants’ Program within last 2 years.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification or commitment to complete within 3 months of employment.
• Willingness to cross-train within the Women’s and Infants’ program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered and evidence-informed nursing care.
• Collaborate with the inter-professional team and assume a leadership role in delivering care.
• Care for high-acuity and complex cases with a focus on safety and optimal patient outcomes.
