Job summary

St. Joseph in Hamilton is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Labour and Delivery unit. The role requires current Ontario RN registration and NRP certification or commitment to complete within 3 months. Cross-training within Women’s and Infants’ program is encouraged to support high-acuity patient care.

The RN will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, leadership in clinical practices, and ensure safety and quality across shifts, including days and nights.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification or plan to complete within 3 months.
• Willingness to cross-train within the Women's and Infants' program.
• Perinatal Nursing Certificate / Breastfeeding Certificate / IBCLC designation preferred.
• Maternal-Fetal monitoring experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered, evidence-informed care for women, newborns and families.
• Collaborate with the inter-professional team to deliver high-acuity care.
• Lead care delivery, teaching and delegation within the unit.
