Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre seeks a registered nurse for the Birthing Unit, providing care across antenatal, labour, birth, postpartum and newborn periods. Must be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current BLS and NRP certification.

Strong teaching and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team are essential. The role requires commitment to family-centred maternity care, ability to lead and work independently, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BLS certification current within the last 12 months.
  • 2–3 years experience in antenatal, labour, birth, postpartum and newborn care.
  • NRP certification required.
  • Current certifications in IV Therapy, Fetal Health Surveillance, Cervical Examinations, Epidural Care, Breastfeeding Education (WHO I), and peri-operative rôle for C-section.
