Job summary

The St. Joseph's Health System NICU in Hamilton is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Special Care Nursery (SCN). The RN provides patient-centered, evidence-informed care for neonates, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support infants with high acuity and complex needs.

BCLS/HCP certification is required, with perinatal nursing experience preferred. Ideal candidates possess strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, and are committed to ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum of one year recent perinatal nursing experience.
• Demonstrated communication and teamwork in interprofessional settings.
• Proficient with computers and patient information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for neonates in the SCN.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver care.
• Assess, prioritize, and respond to changes in patient needs and acuity.
