Job summary

Munich Re Group in Toronto seeks an Analyst, Risk & Compliance to analyze, report, monitor, and test financial and nonfinancial risk information for MROC and Temple Insurance.

The role involves data input, capital planning inputs, and supporting risk control cycles in a hybrid work setup. A quantitative degree is required; 0–1 year actuarial experience is a plus. Competitive salary with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any major with significant quantitative coursework.
• 0-1 year actuarial analyst experience in property & casualty is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication; adaptable to audience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data input and modelling for risk and solvency assessment.
• Prepare annual risk and solvency assessment report and climate risk filings.
• Support capital modelling and quarterly risk reporting.
• Monitor earthquake exposures and report quarterly on catastrophe limits.
