Job summary

Altis Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Risk Analyst for a permanent, full-time role in Toronto, ON. The position supports the Enterprise Risk Management program within a Canadian financial institution, focusing on risk oversight, control testing, policy development, and issue remediation.

You will collaborate with partners across the organization to strengthen risk practices and reporting to senior management and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, audit, business, or related discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in risk management, internal audit, controls, or related function in financial services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles, methodologies, and three-lines model.
• Experience with risk assessments, evaluating controls, or control testing.

Responsibilities

• Support execution, oversight, and enhancement of Enterprise Risk Management program.
• Maintain ERM frameworks, policies, procedures, and practices through regulatory research.
• Provide guidance and advisory support for Risk and Control Self-Assessments and related activities.
• Develop understanding of the organization’s business model, structure, operations, and risk environment.
• Contribute to risk reporting for senior management, the Board, and committees.
• Identify changes in risk management KPIs, KRIs, exposures, and emerging trends.
• Evaluate adequacy of internal controls and work with units to strengthen risk practices.
