Job summary

Michaels in Whitby, ON is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, drive sales results and deliver an engaging customer experience. This role oversees front-end and service operations, ensuring brand standards and operational expectations are met.

You will coach staff, provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, manage POS systems, support in-store events, promote Loyalty Rewards, and ensure omni-channel fulfillment including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store results.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage and assist with transactions.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and drive customer retention.
• Drive omni-channel fulfillment including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding and skill-building.
• Support asset protection and shrink reduction through awareness and safe operations.
