Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Saint John, NB is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing store team and champion customer-first selling.

You will drive sales, reinforce brand standards, and coordinate front-end and service operations to deliver outstanding experiences. You’ll coach staff on selling behaviors, manage POS and self-checkout, support omni-channel services like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, and oversee programs across the Knit & Sew Shop and framing services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience coaching and developing store teams.
• Strong customer service and sales coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and ensure SOP compliance across departments.
• Coach team on customer experience, selling behaviors, and brand standards.
• Manage POS and Self-Checkout operations to ensure smooth transactions.
• Drive omni-channel initiatives (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery) and curbside/service flow.
• Oversee promotions and in-store programs (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, framing services).
