Job summary

Options Consulting Solutions is seeking a Retail Sales Manager (showrooms) to oversee the performance and consistency of multiple showroom locations. You will lead showroom managers and cross-functional teams to ensure execution of sales, merchandising, and customer service strategies.

The role emphasizes coaching, recruitment, and collaboration with Marketing, Purchasing, and Pricing to align store execution with broader company goals.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Retail Sales, Business Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably multi-location.
• Experience with sales reporting tools and Excel (pivot tables) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop showroom managers and shared staff.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for showroom personnel.
• Coordinate showroom shared services like sales support and reception across locations.
• Analyze performance metrics, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategy.

The Job!

As the Retail Sales Manager (showrooms), you will oversee the performance and operational consistency of multiple retail showroom locations, ensuring that sales, merchandising, and customer service strategies are executed effectively. You will lead a team of showroom managers and shared services staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives.

• Lead, coach, and develop Managers and shared support staff, setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning for showroom personnel.
• Oversee showroom shared services functions such as sales support and reception, ensuring effective coordination and coverage across locations.
• Contribute to retail sales and merchandising strategies by analyzing performance metrics, market trends, and customer insights.
• Ensure consistent execution of sales initiatives, merchandising standards, pricing programs, and promotional campaigns.
• Monitor competitive activity and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Establish and maintain high customer service standards across all retail locations.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, and Pricing teams to align retail execution with broader organizational strategies.
• Oversee showroom operational expenses and ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety requirements.

What you bring to the job

You are a strong retail leader with a passion for developing teams, driving performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• College diploma in Retail Sales, Business Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a multi-location environment
• Ideal industries/ product (HVAC, tiles, wallpaper, paint, building supplies, plumbing, electrical or well-known retailer!!
• Strong leadership and team development experience, managing multiple direct reports
• Solid operational and merchandising knowledge, with the ability to execute sales strategies effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with sales reporting tools and Excel (including pivot tables) is considered an asset
• Demonstrate strong judgement, diplomacy, and leadership, with the ability to resolve complex customer or operational issues
