Job summary

Homeward-Trust-Edmonton is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to support daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will process transactions, assist customers with product selection, maintain merchandising and store cleanliness, and work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals. This position requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Retail sales experience is considered an asset.
• Experience operating a point-of-sale system and handling cash transactions is an asset.
• Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist customers with product selection and inquiries.
• Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Balance cash drawer and complete opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Receive, price, stock, and merchandise products on the sales floor.
• Maintain attractive product displays and ensure merchandise is organized.
• Assist customers with purchases, pickups, and general store information.
• Safely move and load furniture and other merchandise using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Inspect merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, cash area, warehouse, and surrounding work areas.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient daily store operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
