Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to support daily store operations in Edmonton, delivering friendly customer service, processing transactions, merchandising products, and maintaining a safe, inviting shopping environment.

Reporting to the Retail Supervisor, you will collaborate with team members to assist customers and donors, stock and price merchandise, operate the POS system, and uphold health and safety standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Retail sales experience is an asset.
• Experience operating a point-of-sale system and handling cash transactions is an asset.
• Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist customers with product selection and inquiries.
• Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Balance cash drawer and complete opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Receive, price, stock, and merchandise products on the sales floor.
• Maintain attractive product displays and ensure merchandise is organized.
• Assist customers with purchases, pickups, and general store information.
• Safely move and load furniture and other merchandise using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Inspect merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, cash area, warehouse, and surrounding work areas.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient daily store operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
