Job summary

TP-Link Canada Inc. is seeking an Account Manager, Retail to drive growth with national retailers and e‑commerce partners across Canada. You will manage strategic relationships, execute sales plans, and expand TP-Link’s presence in Networking and Smart Home markets.

The role requires 3–7 years in account management or retail sales, deep knowledge of Canada’s retail landscape, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. Travel up to 20% is possible as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in account management, Retail Sales, preferably within consumer electronics, technology, Networking, Smart Home or Security Cameras.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian retail and e‑commerce landscape, including national accounts, regional partners, and distributor‑led models.
  • Experience managing big box retail accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow assigned key customer accounts, driving revenue, profitability, and market share across TP-Link’s product portfolio.
  • Develop and execute annual account plans, including sales targets, promotional calendars, product launches, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building strong, long‑term relationships at multiple levels (buyers, category managers, marketing, operations).
  • Drive sell‑in and sell‑through performance by analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and recommending corrective actions to exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure product availability, in‑store and online execution, and brand presence.
  • Lead negotiations with partners on pricing, promotions, assortment, merchandising, and marketing.
  • Manage product launches, ensuring timely onboarding, training, merchandising, and promotional execution across all assigned accounts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights within Networking, Smart Home and Security Camera space, translating insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and KPIs, providing regular business reviews and data‑driven recommendations to internal stakeholders.

We are looking for a high‑performing Account Manager, Retail to drive growth across key Canadian retail and e‑commerce partners. This role is responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, executing national sales plans, and maintain / expand TP-Link’s presence within Canada’s competitive Networking and Smart Home/Camera market. The successful candidate will work cross‑functionally to deliver strong sell‑in and sell‑through results, support new product launches, and ensure consistent brand execution across all channels. Requirements:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 3–7 years of experience in account management, Retail Sales, preferably within consumer electronics, technology, Networking, Smart Home or Security Cameras.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian retail and e‑commerce landscape, including national accounts, regional partners, and distributor‑led models.
  • Experience managing big box retail accounts.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior‑level customer relationships and influence decision‑making across multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics seasonal sales cycles including Back-to-School, Black Friday, and Boxing Day.
  • Experience developing and executing account plans, forecasts, and promotional strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, POS trends, and market insights to drive business decisions.
  • Skilled in negotiation, presentation, and communication, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
  • Self Motivated with Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders across Canada.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and sales reporting tools.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.

Additional Information

Travel Requirement: Up to 20% business travel (provincial/inter-provincial) may be required for major business events such as QBR meetings, tradeshows, partner meetings, and industry events.
