GlassRatner Advisory Canada Inc. in Calgary is seeking an Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency Advisory practice. You will work on mandates for companies, secured lenders, and other stakeholders in complex restructuring, insolvency, and distressed situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in restructuring, insolvency, corporate finance, audit, or financial advisory.
• Experience with CCAA and/or BIA proceedings, including monitor or lender advisory work.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills including liquidity analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce client and court materials.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Based in Calgary or willing to relocate to the Calgary area.

Responsibilities

• Support receiver, monitor, and proposal trustee mandates with financial and operational analysis.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, financial models, variance analyses, and liquidity assessments.
• Review financial information to identify trends and restructuring considerations.
• Assist with court-supervised SISPs, bid analysis, and due diligence.
• Draft Monitor’s Reports, receiver’s reports, court materials, and advisory memoranda.
• Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for lender workouts and restructure.
• Liaise with counsel, lenders, management, and stakeholders on engagements.
• Conduct research and support presentations, pitch materials, and business development.
• Support engagements nationally across Canada, including Calgary and Toronto, and cross-border matters with the U.S.
