Job summary

Moose Woods Home Fire Grill at DakotaDunes Resort is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to lead daily operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The role focuses on AM and Mid-Shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, to maintain service standards.

You will work with the Food & Beverage leadership and culinary teams, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient, accountable operations across the restaurant and lounge.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or lounge environment.
  • Serve It Right Saskatchewan certificate.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate preferred.
  • WHMIS certificate preferred.
  • First Aid & CPR certification is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience using restaurant POS systems.
  • Ability to lift, carry and move 11-75 lbs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service and lead by example in creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the dining room and lounge during service periods.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the restaurant and lounge.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily priorities, promotions, and service expectations.
  • Assist with inventory counts and inventory control while monitoring supplies.
  • Ensure all opening, operating, and closing procedures are completed accurately.
  • Respond to changing business levels by adjusting staffing and workflow accordingly.
  • Supervise, coach, motivate, and support restaurant team members.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and culturally welcoming workplace.
  • Set work schedules and monitor staffing levels throughout each shift while approving breaks.
  • Ensure food and beverage presentation meets established standards.
  • Monitor quality, consistency, cleanliness, and speed of service.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to resolve service issues.

Job description

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for leading thedaily operations of the Moose Woods Home Fire Grill restaurant andlounge, while delivering exceptional guest experiences consistent with DakotaDunes Resort's service standards.

The Restaurant Supervisor works closely with the Food & Beverageleadership team, culinary team, and other resort departments to ensureefficient operations, financial accountability, and memorable guestexperiences. This role primarily works AM and Mid-Shift rotations,including weekends and statutory holidays, based on business needs.

  • Excellent communication and conflict resolutionabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment whilemaintaining professionalism.
  • Familiarity with using Microsoft Office.
