Restaurant Manager Responsibilities
- Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.
- Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews.
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations.
- Train staff and lead/instruct team members.
- Determine service offerings and implement operational procedures.
- Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
- Cost products and services, and organize inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Negotiate with suppliers and clients for food, supplies, catering, or facility use.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Participate in programs supporting newcomers and refugees, assisting with settlement needs such as housing, transportation, and clothing.
- Support social and labor market integration through access to community resources, language, and skills training.
- Recruit displaced individuals from conflicts or natural disasters.
- Assist with foreign credential recognition and mentorship programs.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to foster an inclusive work environment.
- Participate in initiatives supporting Indigenous peoples, offering mentorship, developing relationships, and providing cultural competency training.
