• Develop budget to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
• Plan and organize daily operations.
• Train staff.
• Determine types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Address customer complaints or concerns.

Experience

• 2 to less than 3 years.

• Recruit newcomers and/or refugees displaced by conflicts or natural disasters (e.g., Ukraine, Afghanistan).
• Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
• Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
• Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
• Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
• Provide cultural competency and awareness training for all employees.
• Facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Support for visible minorities

• Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination (e.g., anonymized hiring processes).
