We’re looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead the team at a new concept restaurant at Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer—a refined, inviting space where modernity and tradition meet with quiet confidence. With an eye for detail and a heart for hospitality, you guide your team through the rhythm of service, adapt seamlessly to changing priorities, and create an experience where every guest feels seen, welcomed, and delighted.
In this role, the Restaurant Manager reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and work closely with our restaurant managing partners to ensure exceptional operational and guest experience standards are met across all fronts.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily service to ensure smooth, polished, and personalized guest experiences.
- Supervise, coach, and inspire the front-of-house team to uphold service standards and deliver genuine hospitality.
- Manage staffing, floor plans, and reservations to optimize flow and maximize guest satisfaction.
- Monitor feedback and proactively resolve guest concerns, creating a culture of care and accountability.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team development with a focus on consistency and performance.
- Ensure all service areas meet cleanliness, safety, and brand standards at all times.
- Maximize sales and guest counts by delivering standout dining experiences that inspire loyalty and referrals.
- Oversee all financial aspects of the business, including P&L performance, and consistently surpass targets for COGS, labour, revenue, guest satisfaction, and KPIs.
- Manage all building upkeep, equipment, OS&E, and supplier relationships to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Uphold brand standards through seamless execution across every guest touchpoint—from ambiance to service, food, and beverage.
- Spearhead local marketing efforts and community engagement to strengthen the restaurant’s visibility and reputation.
What You’ll Bring
- Diploma in hospitality management or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years in a restaurant supervisory or management role, preferably in a refined dining environment
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure moments
- Excellent communication and guest service abilities
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, from scheduling to floor presence
- Passion for food, wine, and creating memorable experiences
