Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill in Ottawa is seeking a restaurant operations leader to oversee budgeting, cost control, staff scheduling, and daily on-site management. This role focuses on optimizing profits and ensuring top-notch guest experiences.

You will analyze budgets, coordinate purchasing, enforce liquor regulations, recruit and train staff, and collaborate with suppliers and marketing to deliver exceptional service at a busy Ottawa location.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant restaurant management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits.
  • Develop budget for food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
  • Evaluate daily operations.
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
  • Monitor staff performance.
  • Plan and organize daily operations.
  • Recruit staff and set staff work schedules.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Cost products and services.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
