• Salary Range: $38.35 - $53.28 /hour

Job Overview

The Respiratory Therapist at Parkwood Hospital supports all four clinical programs (Rehabilitation, Specialized Geriatrics, Complex Care, and Veterans Care), focusing on patients requiring assisted ventilation, tracheotomy care, and other respiratory issues. You should be able to work independently, share your expertise in caring for patients with chronic respiratory illnesses, and be available for on-call and extended hours as needed.

Essential Qualifications

• Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Healthcare Setting in compliance with OHSA
• Valid registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
• Valid BCLS Certification
• Proficiency in current Respiratory Therapy techniques
• Skill in respiratory assessment and patient education
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in French (asset)
• Current registration with the Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario, Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists, or Ontario Respiratory Care Society
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience
• Experience in respiratory diagnostics (e.g., pulmonary function testing)
• Certified Respiratory Educator
