Job summary

Horizon Health Network in the Upper River Valley area (New Brunswick) is seeking a Respiratory Therapist 2 to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, monitor patient progress and participate in interdisciplinary care. The position requires licensure with the New Brunswick Association of Respiratory Therapy, regular attendance and the ability to perform all duties.

The role is temporary full time with on call and rotation schedules.

Qualifications

• Licensed with the New Brunswick Association of Respiratory Therapy.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Testing and measuring pulmonary function.
• Assessing, monitoring and administering respiratory therapies.
• Assisting and supporting airway management and resuscitation.
• Maintaining clinical records and documentation.
• Participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Preparing and presenting information and education.
• Inspecting, maintaining, preparing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Providing mentoring and support for students and other health care professionals.
