Job summary

The New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP) is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an integrated, multidisciplinary team in Driscoll (Moncton). The role coordinates and delivers respiratory care to patients in home and community settings, within the scope of practice.

The position offers full-time temporary hours (08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday) with anticipated start as soon as possible and end date May 26, 2028; English and French language competence required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Must be a member in good standing with the NB Association of Respiratory Therapists or eligible for membership.
• Have a current CPR Level C certification that has been issued in the last 12 months, or be prepared to obtain within 3 months.
• Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services and available community services.
• Must have a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record (proof required);
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check;
• Must demonstrate ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
• Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
• Must have a high regard for confidentiality; and
• Must have excellent work habits and have a professional appearance.

• Provide quality care and support to promote, maintain and restore functional performance.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated primary health care.

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the interdisciplinary EMP team, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and providing quality care within the scope of practice to patients and families by, promoting, maintaining and/or restoring functional performance.
