Job summary

Lakeridge Health in Ajax-Pickering is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a temporary full-time 18-month assignment. You will provide respiratory care under the Manager, Critical Care & Respiratory Services, document care, perform diagnostic testing, maintain equipment, and participate in QA activities.

Applicants must hold a Diploma in Respiratory Therapy, be registered with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario, maintain BCLS standards, and preferably PALS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Respiratory Therapy and active registration in Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification and Ontario Heart Foundation standards.
• PALS/ACLS are preferred; strong teamwork and communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous education.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients as assigned.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
• Perform diagnostic testing and monitor equipment.
• Maintain and service respiratory equipment as required.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and uphold professional standards.
