Responsibilities

Outpatient Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Summary

• Cutting edge diagnostic services that include Super Dimensional Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy (EBUS), Bedside bronchoscopy, and Bronchial Thermoplasty.
• Pulmonary Function testing.
• Obtaining and running arterial blood gases.
• Pre-op CABG teachings.
• Delivery of small volume nebulizers.
• Oxygen & Aerosol Therapy.
• Assist with airway management in some cases.

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapy requirements:

• Graduate of an approved respiratory care technology program with a current North Carolina Respiratory Care license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist or CRT credential; RRT preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of current clinical respiratory care experience preferred.
• Clinical life safety certification requirements must be achieved prior to the end of the probationary/training period include: ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Adult critical care experience is preferred.
