Job summary

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a qualified Resource Geologist to join the Lalor Mine Geology team in Snow Lake, MB. The role involves resource modeling, estimation, and support to the drill team to optimize mining through planning and evaluation.

You will mentor geologists and technicians while contributing to safety culture and daily operations. A fully equipped camp or relocation packages are available, with a competitive annual pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences or Geological Engineering.
• Professional Designation, P. Geo or P. Eng.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in mining, underground environment (10+ years).

Responsibilities

• Leads by example to continue a strong safety culture and follow safety programs.
• Geological resource wireframing, block modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Resource estimation and classification; MRMR documentation.
• Monitors daily production, recovery, and dilution; support to Diamond Drill team.
• Participates in meetings to establish priorities; training and mentoring for geologists and technicians.
