Job summary

Hudbay Minerals operates the Lalor Mine in Snow Lake, MB and seeks Underground Industrial Electricians for a 7/7 schedule. You will work in an underground environment, interpret complex drawings, and perform inspection, repair and calibration of electrical equipment and circuits.

Camp facilities, travel allowances and transportation are provided. The role requires a Red Seal Journeyperson and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and controls in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyperson is required.
• Experience reading drawings, wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Underground and surface electrical work experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and controls.

What You’ll Need

• Must be a Red Seal Journeyperson
• Ability to interpret all types of drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Experience inspecting, repairing, installing, connecting, servicing, and calibrating electrical equipment and circuits in underground and surface operations
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits, system controls, and protection devices
• Basic welding skills for installing electrical equipment
• Ability to inspect, repair, and test mine hoist and auxiliary equipment
