GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to operate an Automated Side-Load truck on assigned routes, performing safety checks and maintaining municipal standards.

This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and strong customer service as you support daily waste and recycling collection. Qualified candidates will hold a DZ or higher license, have at least one year of driving experience, and demonstrate reliability with early morning start times and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class 3 (DZ or above) with clean Abstract and CVOR.
• Driving experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial driving or completion of trucking school.
• Equipment operation: Safe operation of heavy collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems.
• Safety: Ability to meet safety-sensitive operational standards.
• Reliability: Strong attendance and flexibility for early starts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an Automated Side-Load truck on residential routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Collect residential waste and recycling according to route schedules.
• Operate hydraulic/compaction systems with proper techniques.
• Report mechanical issues, hazards, or incidents to management.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and high service quality.
