Job summary

Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor Essex County is seeking Casual Residential Support Workers to assist Safe Beds clients. You will admit clients, orient them to the program, and monitor safety within residential care settings, while helping develop goal plans and life skills for successful housing outcomes.

The role requires a two-year diploma in a relevant field, driving ability, and strong assessment skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Life Skills certification would be considered an asset.
• One year recent experience working with individuals experiencing mental health concerns.
• A valid Ontario Driver’s License with access to a vehicle and proof of current insurance.
• Bilingualism in both official languages would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Admit clients to Safe Beds and orient them to the program.
• Develop goal plans with clients and support progress.
• Provide life skills training and practical daily living coaching.
• Connect clients with community resources and referrals.
• Maintain accurate client documentation and reporting.
• Promote community education and participate in agency initiatives.
