Job summary

CMHA Algoma is seeking a Residential Worker to support individuals in a supportive housing program, including those experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and addictions. You will conduct assessments, provide education, case management, and social/recreational support, promoting independence and wellbeing as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in a human services field.
• Registration with a regulatory body (OCSWSSW) preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification mandatory.
• ASIST and Safe Food Handling certification within 3 months required.
• Minimum one-year experience in mental health, addictions, or housing services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in the housing program and homeless population.
• Engage in service engagement, assessment, education, case management, social recreation, and related duties.
• Exhibit exemplary professional conduct and maintain professional boundaries.
• Foster effective internal and external relationships with staff, clients, volunteers, and the community.
