Job summary
New Vista Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Burnaby, BC to perform a range of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties across our residential properties. You will report to the Facilities Manager and ensure safe, efficient operation of facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities include plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, painting, and grounds upkeep. Candidates should have Grade 10 plus 2 years related experience, strong communication, and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with tenants, staff, and contractors.
- Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks and safely operate tools.
Responsibilities
- Performs general building maintenance and repairs across facilities.
- Repairs and replaces plumbing fixtures and components.
- Installs and repairs electrical components and lighting fixtures.
- Performs painting, flooring, and surface maintenance duties.
- Maintains records of maintenance and inspections.
- Moves and transports equipment and supplies as required.
